The Story

Swiss-Belhotel has been awarded six times as Indonesia’s leading global hotel chain and favourite 4 star hotel. In 2017 the Swiss-Belhotel global site and South Brisbane hotel site were redesigned as part of a CRO experiment to demonstrate how much user interface and experience design impacts conversion rates for the hotel.

Font Choices for Swiss-Belhotel Website Design

Their current landing page was cluttered and full of loud, competing messages. After analysing their needs for the performance of the site, the visual hierarchy was rethought and the design was styled to compliment their brand, with any unnecessary content that would not impact their SEO removed.

The new design was compared using an A/B split test against the current landing page. The results were an increase in conversion rates, pages per session and average session duration for the new design.
